Events must be open to the public, with or without admission fees. Historic Hudson River Towns reserves the right to reject any event that is considered inappropriate for any reason. Please allow up to 24 hours after submission for event to be listed.

The voice behind Foreigner and one of the greatest singers in Rock music history, Lou Gramm’s unique vocals and hit songs have placed Foreigner, among Billboard’s Top Artists of all time. Their 16 Top 40 Hit Songs defined an era. Songs like “I Want to Know What Love Is, “Juke Box Hero,” and “Feels Like the First Time,” are just a few of the awesome songs that Lou Gramm sang. In 1987, while still with Foreigner, Gramm released his first solo album, Ready or Not, which received critical acclaim and top five hit single with, “Midnight Blue.” Gramm left the popular group for the last time in 2003 and has been touring the U.S., Canada, and Mexico steadily, since January 2004. Come enjoy the hits of Gramm’s career, when he plays on the Paramount stage.

Celebrate spring! From fiber to fashion, this classic spring festival celebrates all things wooly sheep! Visitors are invited to explore each step in the process of turning wool into cloth using 18th-century techniques. Hands-on activities include dyeing wool and weaving, and crafts for children, including sewing with wool and creating a picture from sheep or alpaca wool (NEW!). Outside on the grounds, Scottish border collies display their skills at sheep- and duck-herding. Visitors are invited to enjoy a fashion show complete with critiques from Historic Hudson Valley’s own expert costume designer. Master storyteller Jonathan Kruk entertains with some lively tales. NEW! This year we welcome beautiful, friendly alpacas from Faraway Farm in Yorktown Heights.

Charlie Daniels Band at the Paramount

Grammy Award Winning country music, Charlie Daniels and his band are coming to Peekskill! Daniels was inducted into the Grand Old Opry on January 24, 2008 and the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2009. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame during a star-studded, profoundly emotional Medallion Ceremony on October 16, 2016. Daniels won the Grammy Award for Best Country Vocal Performance in 1979 for “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” The following year, “Devil” became a major crossover success on rock radio stations after its inclusion on the soundtrack for the hit movie Urban Cowboy. Daniels appeared in the movie. He keeps an active tour schedule and his music continues to receive airplay on country and classic rock stations every day!

Pianist Lise de la Salle Performs in Sleepy Hollow

Described by Bryce Morrison of Gramophone magazine as “a talent in a million,” French pianist Lise de la Salle returns to the Friends of Music Concerts stage on Saturday, April 22, 2017 with a program featuring Liszt transcriptions of works by Schumann and Schubert, Schumann’s Fantasie in C Major, Op. 17, and ten pieces from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliette Suite for Piano, Op. 75. Brought back following her triumphant Friends of Music debut two years ago, Mlle. de la Salle has established a reputation as one of today’s most exciting artists. Her many recordings have received critical acclaim.
