Welcome to the Historic Hudson River Towns Events Calendar! Organizations in communities located along the Hudson River from Yonkers to Albany are welcome to post events here free of charge. Events must be open to the public, with or without admission fees. Historic Hudson River Towns reserves the right to reject any event that is considered inappropriate for any reason. Please allow up to 24 hours after submission for event to be listed.

A Night at the ASKars - Annual Gala

The Arts Society of Kingston (ASK) will once again host a dazzling Gala Evening, "A Night at the ASKars" Saturday May 20, 2017 from 6 to 10 pm. Tickets are $75 per person The evening includes a delectable buffet catered by Stone Soup , a silent auction, live musical entertainment and dancing, and the presentation of the three ASKar awards to the choral group Ars Choralis; comedy performance duo Mikhail Horowitz & Gilles Malkine; and visual artist Carol Pepper Cooper. In addition to that, ASK offers a 10% discount on all the art work on display in the two gallery rooms. All auction proceeds go to benefit ASK and help maintain the programs and services at the Arts Center.

Street Fair

The Nyack Famous Street Fair will be held from 10 to 5 downtown Main Street and Broadway and is held rain or shine. This exciting event is a great way to spend a spring day shopping amongst the over three hundred vendors from five states lining downtown Nyack. The fair features booths bursting with arts and crafts, a great selection of retail items, collectibles, home décor and commercial vendors. The whole family will have fun shopping at this unique street fair. The kid’s will be entertained at the “Kid’s Zone” showing a variety of inflatables set up by “A Total Jump” in the Main Street parking lot. To top it off all types of delicious festival foods will be available as well Nyack’s restaurants and outdoor cafes offering “Fair Specials”.

Electric Car Show

Join the Village of Croton-on-Hudson’s Sustainability Committee at Teatown to learn about electric vehicles. A panel discussion and Q&A session with electric car owners will be followed by a show of several popular electric car models in the lot across from the Nature Center. Free. Scott Stapp’s artistic and personal journey is one where talent and torment have come together to produce musical success-and he’s coming to the Paramount Theater! The founding member of Creed chronicled his quest for answers and his dreams, from faith to fatherhood, in chart topping hits like, “My Own Prison”, “Higher”, and “With Arms Wide Open” -all songs that dominated the sonic landscape of the 90s and 2000s. His soul-piercing lyrics backed by thundering rock riffs garnered a Grammy award and countless other accolades of creativity, not to mention legions of fans, who felt a kindred spirit in his honesty.

Dare to Dream Concert- featuring Svet

Svet is one of the most profound and unique acts of today; A hip hop/electro violinist who is globally recognized from his appearance on NBC’s America’s Got Talent and is the most well known for his incredible talent to recreate songs of today with violin. While finishing a 60 city tour, Svet shared stages with artists including Phillip Phillips, Kanye West, Fabolous, Ceelo Green and The Black Keys. Since then, Svet has performed in places such as Dubai, Dublin, Amsterdam, and Mexico while also having the pleasure of performing for numerous corporate clients including Microsoft, Maxim, Adobe, Quicken Loans and the Brooklyn Nets. Svet is also a cancer survivor and hopes to inspire those whose lives have also been affected by cancer.
