Events must be open to the public, with or without admission fees. Historic Hudson River Towns reserves the right to reject any event that is considered inappropriate for any reason. Please allow up to 24 hours after submission for event to be listed.

Boomer Comedy Unlimited

Boomer Comedy Unlimited is the brainchild of Carol Siskind, a comedian who has performed professionally throughout the U.S and around the world for over 35 years. Carol Siskind- Comedian, actress, and screenwriter Carol Siskind started her stand-up career in New York, honing her skills in the city’s comedy clubs. She has several TV appearances to her name and has been featured in People, Newsweek, and The New York Times. Mark Schiff- Comedian and writer Mark Schiff has been doing stand-up for over 30 years. He has worked with Jay Leno and Late Night with David Letterman. Schiff has had his own HBO and Showtime specials. Ken Rogerson- Ken Rogerson, the funniest man you’ve ever heard of, started his comedy career working the Chicago club circuit.

“The Godfather of British Blues” is coming to Peekskill’s Paramount! English blues singer, pianist, harmonica player, guitarist, and songwriter John Mayall has an impressive musical career that spans over 50 years. He founded the band John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers in the 1960s. Attracted by the West Coast climate and culture, Mayall then made his permanent move from England to Los Angeles in 1968 and began forming bands with American musicians. Throughout the next three decades, Mayall became further revered for his many jazz/rock/blues innovations featuring such notable performers as Blue Mitchell, Red Holloway, Larry Taylor, and Harvey Mandel.

Spend the morning with your little ones as they learn the basics of cooking. This hands-on event encourages creativity as kids learn basic cooking techniques from working chefs. Your little culinary artists will also practice cupcake decorating…and don’t worry; they’ll share their finished treats with you! Characters from Nickelodeon’s most popular kids shows will be on-hand for meet & greets, so be sure to have your phones ready for pictures. Little chefs will also receive a complimentary chef’s apron and hat. This event is limited to 75 participants so purchase your tickets today. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Historical Society of Nyack Edward Hopper's Nyack Walking Tour

Born and raised in Nyack, Hopper said that “In every artist’s development the gem of the later work is always found in the earlier. What he once was, he always is.” See Nyack through his eyes. This tour highlights the influence of light, water, and architecture. We’ll meet at Edward Hopper House Art Center, 82 N. Broadway.

Toto at the Paramount

Legendary rock and pop band Toto is coming to the Paramount. Best known for hits like “Hold the Line” and “Africa”, the Grammy Award-winning band has sold over 40 million albums, and continues to draw crowds to standing room only events across the globe! With over 39 years together and thousands of credits and accolades to their names, Toto remains one of the top-selling touring and recording acts in the world. The band’s repertoire continues to be popularly used on both television and film. Toto is pop culture, and one of the 70s bands that have endured changing trends and styles and now enjoy a multi-generational fan base. Their 1982 album Toto IV earned the Grammy’s for Album of the Year and Producer of the Year. The hit single “Rosanna” likewise won Record of the Year.
