Halloween and Fall along the Hudson

Halloween and Fall along the Hudson

With Washington Irving's story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," providing the perfect autumnal setting and a scary story of the famed Headless Horseman, the Village of Sleepy Hollow and envrions has become Halloween Central in these parts.  Did you know that the HH threw a pumpkin at poor Ichabod Crane?  What a perfect tie-in to Halloween!  Residents of the Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow may be wishing we could move on towards Thanksgiving -- the traffic on their usually quiet streest has been something to see these past few weeks, with haunted hayrides, cemetery tours and very crowded restaurants.  But it's all in good fun -- and just wait until next year!
