Food Enthusiasts Class: Vegan Baking
November 17, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
It’s vegan cookie night! Learn to make vegan and gluten-free peanut butter cookies, vegan and gluten-free coconut oatmeal cookies and vegan chocolate chip cookie cake with Chef Larisa Schukle, the owner of Glitter Thicket, a vegan cafe in Nyack. All recipes are purely vegan, with no animal products, such as eggs or cow’s milk. Chef Larisa has been baking and cooking vegan foods professionally for many years. Before Larisa began baking, she worked for a non-profit giving lectures educating people about the benefits of eating a plant-based diet, for personal health, for the planet, and for non-human animals. All of the cookie recipes Larisa teaches are vegan, they do not contain any animal products such as eggs or cow’s milk. Vegan foods are more environmentally friendly. Vegan options also contribute far less to health issues such as cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancer.
Learn how to make these scrumptious recipes with Larisa:
Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cookies
Gluten Free Coconut Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake
Snacks are provided upon your arrival and you get to take the food you make home with you.
