8th Annual Peekskill Film Festival – Day 2
July 29, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
$20The Peekskill Film Festival was founded in 2015 to promote film literacy in the vibrant and historic Hudson River city of Peekskill, NY, and is an important opportunity to view new works by emerging filmmakers, including features, shorts, documentaries, animation and student work.
Through informative workshops, and networking opportunities, The Peekskill Film Festival will also facilitate educational and career-oriented programming for students of film and filmmakers. The festival hopes to introduce, involve and immerse youth from underserved communities of color to a world where they, too, can contribute and create.
We invite everyone to come out and support our homegrown talent and, especially, our youth in learning valuable tools in the art of filmmaking. We also want people to take in our beautiful city with its vibrant community–including a thriving art, food and nightlife scene. Peekskill also boasts top-notch cultural institutions such as the landmark Paramount Theater,The Field Library, Peekskill Museum and the Lincoln Depot. Our city is bordered by the tranquil Hudson River on the west and surrounded by miles of parks and lakes. We welcome the world to come to Peekskill to see all that we have going on!
Our Mission:
The mission of the Peekskill Film Festival is to give established and emerging filmmakers, writers, actors and producers a showcase to share their work in a festival setting; provide exposure to award winning films and performers who reflect the diversity of the city of Peekskill; promote film literacy through workshops and lectures; and give audiences a chance to see important, overlooked, and often excluded works of film,
We Start Dialogues. Create. Network!
