Annual Lawn Party to support the Putnam History Museum

September 10, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

$60 – $250

The Putnam History Museum Board and Staff invite you to please join us on Saturday, September 10th for cool drinks & canapés at the historic Samuel Sloan Estate (1864).

From its construction by 19th century railroad magnate Samuel Sloan as a summer estate for his family, including his wife Margaret and their 11 children, to an Italianate renovation in 1907 and its modern-day sustainability renovation, including solar panels, rainwater collection systems, and geothermal heating, the estate – the home itself, the land it is built upon, and the river it overlooks – has many stories to tell.

Many thanks to the estate’s owners, Classiques Modernes International Realty, and Douglas Elliman Real Estate, for sharing this location with the PHM for this annual fundraiser!

Festivities include guided house tours by Classiques Modernes International Realty and Douglas Elliman Real Estate, early 1900s Jazz performed by the Todd Londagin Quintet, a brief historical presentation, and a visit from Samuel Sloan!
