City of Peekskill – Riverfront Green Park and Charles Point Park

Peekskill is a city full of exciting development and artistic energy, both of which come together at the Riverfront Green, overlooking the Hudson Highlands and adjacent to the train station. The park features sculptures, war memorials, playground, picnic area, a looping path to stroll on, many special events during the year, and improvements underway and forthcoming. There are a handful of great restaurant options and shops right here or near including, Taco Drive Bar, Peekskill Brewery, Sue’s Sunset House, and Dylan’s Wine Cellar.

Charles Point, toward the southern end of the Peekskill waterfront, is a small, peaceful park with benches and a trail to take in the expansive view of Peekskill Bay up to the Bear Mountain Bridge. The long pier was once used by the Fleischmann Company to import the raw materials at its vast yeast and gin factory, now providing a great spot for a stroll, fishing, barge-watching, picnicking. There is a free lot with ample parking.

This fall, enjoy an inspiring special event at Peekskill's Riverfront Green Park when the Hudson Valley Irish Fest arrives, Saturday, September 2023 from 11:00am - 7:00pm.
