Village of Irvington – Scenic Hudson Park

The lovely village of Irvington boasts a 12-acre riverfront park near the train station, which like so many parcels along the Hudson was once an industrial site slated for redevelopment.

The Scenic Hudson organization acquired it to prevent construction and make way for what is now public space fit for all ages. Nearly one mile of pleasant sunset-worthy, tree-lined walking paths highlight views south to the NYC skyline or north to the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge and the Palisades.

There are ball fields, basketball, playgrounds, benches, picnic areas, a senior center for residents, and ample parking.

Adjacent to the park is Bridge Street Properties, a complex of repurposed industrial buildings with a lively mix of tenants including Eileen Fisher-Lab clothing store/headquarters, and fine dining from MP Taverna, Red Hat on the River, and Sambal Thai.
